About Arno Payan
My name is Arno (Arnaud) Payan. Currently I live on the Gold Coast in Southeast Queensland, a central location for adventure. Nearby drives bring me to Lamington & Springbrook National Park, for gorgeous treks in the rainforest. Further drives take me up into the Glass House Mountains for climbing or Mt Barney National Park for backpacking.
So far I have found myself on the peaks of Mt Barney, Mt Maroon and the Cougals. I have climbed and abseiled in Brooyar State Forest, Mt Ngungun & Mt Tibrogargan in the Glass House, and Pages Pinnacle in Springbrook. I've driven the roads of Conondale National Park with my Jeep Cherokee and have found the best natural rock pools to swim in.
I currently work on a high ropes course as a safety supervisor, trained in abseil rescue. In August, I will be completing a one week course in Mountaineering, learning techniques & iceclimbing. At the start of next year, I will begin to study for an Outdoor Recreational Certificate with a focus in rock climbing, abseiling, and bushwalking.
Future days will hopefully see me on the tops of the highest mountains from Australia all the way to Antarctica.
If you are looking for great places to bushwalk, drive, or climb in Queensland then look no further.
